Archie and Margaret Lopez's Wedding Photograph

A reproduction of a photograph of Margaret Yenez Lopez and Archie Lopez's wedding. The couple was married in Yolo County because, at the time, the clerk in Santa Cruz County was enforcing anti-miscegenation laws. This photograph was likely taken during their ceremony in Yolo County. When asked about their wedding, Margaret and Archie's grandson, Tony Tapiz, described their wedding as an act of civil disobedience. The couple held a second wedding at St. Patrick's Church in Watsonville.

The reproduction was created by their daughter, Rosario Lopez, for a family bulletin board.
