Title
Sulay Sisters at the San Diego Zoo
Description
Photograph of Sulay family standing in front of an exhibit at the San Diego Zoo. Left to right: Manzanita "Manzie" Sulay and Juanita Sulay Wilson. Writing on the front of the image says, “Spring 1947 at San Diego Zoo.” Juanita remembered that her family had visited her dad in Arizona, who was working in the fields. They visited the Zoo on their way back home to Watsonville, CA. According to Juanita, they very rarely went down to visit their Dad while he was working. Handwriting by Virginia on the back of the image states, “Dec. 29, 1948, San Diego Zoo.”
